Brett Edelson
PRESIDENT
CEO, UnitedHealthcare of MN, ND & SD
Brett Edelson has been with UnitedHealthcare since 2005. He currently serves as CEO for UnitedHealthcare of MN, ND & SD, where he leads the team serving 900,000 members across these states. Prior to this role, Brett worked in national leadership positions across UnitedHealthcare, including as Senior Vice President of its Community & State (Medicaid) business, where he led teams focused on Product, Consumer Experience, Strategic Planning, Dual Special Needs Plans and Medicaid proposal development.
Earlier in his career, Brett worked in the Strategy & Operations practice of Deloitte Consulting where he advised clients on strategy and business performance. He received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, M.S. in Health Care Delivery Science from Dartmouth College and a B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
Brett has served on the Board of Directors for the Science Museum of Minnesota, Hennepin Health Foundation, Close Gaps by 5, American Cancer Society CEOs Against Cancer and has been a mentor through Techstars and MBOLD.
Robert Wieland
VICE PRESIDENT
MD, Chief Executive Officer, Allina Health | Aetna
As CEO of Allina Health | Aetna, Dr. Wieland oversees the executive leadership team in setting the overall strategic direction and leading the company’s growth, innovation, and care management.
Wieland has an extensive background as a leader in the health care industry. Before joining Allina Health | Aetna, he served as Allina Health’s chief strategy officer, where he oversaw strategic business development, marketing and communications, and technology integration. During his tenure at Allina Health, Wieland also led the Allina Integrated Medical Network and affiliate strategy. Additionally, he was the executive vice president of the Allina Clinics and Community Division.
Wieland completed his medical degree at the University of Minnesota where he also earned his BA in mechanical engineering. He currently serves on the boards of Open Arms of Minnesota and Advocate Physician Partners in addition to being a member of Medical Alley and the American Cancer Society’s Minnesota Chapter of CEOs Against Cancer.
Margaret Reynolds

SENIOR DIRECTOR, STATE GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
Margaret has been with Cigna since 2019. She leads PBM policy and business alignment for the State Government Affairs team. Prior to joining Cigna, Margaret was a contract lobbyist in Minnesota. She has a strong track record of building effective coalitions to achieve legislative victories.
Margaret received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and her master’s in public policy from the University of Minnesota Humphrey School. Margaret also serves on the University of Iowa's political science department advisory board.
Heidi Holste
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/BOARD MEMBER
Heidi Holste, joined HPPM as Executive Director in January, 2023. Heidi has extensive experience as a non-profit Executive Director in the service industry sector, and as a board member. Heidi has a wealth of knowledge in public policy with over 20 years of experience in government relations work at the state, federal and local levels. Heidi is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, River Falls.
